The Quartet recorded this for our 2013 album Imaginary Journey. The guys all outdid themselves and it's one of my favorites from that record. Matched it with a live video from the same era (see link below).

A 2021 remake of a jazz-rock tune I wrote in 1984. Fun fact - the solo at about 4:00 is my Roland guitar synth, and was recorded in 1987 on the demo I created. I extracted the solo track and used it here, 34 years later.

While I grew up with the Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 cover of this song, I wanted to pay homage to Jorge Ben's original arrangement - part of the beginning of the Tropicale movement.

Robert was my brother-in-law Reggie's dad. We shared love for Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys. I was moved to play some jams and this piece came out in one take, dedicated to Robert. Robert left this world Dec 4, 2021.
